On active duty with the Marine Corps Reserve from March 1965 through March 1967, Mr. Kearns served, among various other duties, as an attorney with the Legal Assistance Office. During his service in the Marine Corps, Mr. Kearns was admitted to the Bar of the District of Columbia. Corporal Kearns received an honorable discharge. He has over 50 years’ experience in several aspects of the law having closed well over 2,500 titles, actually conducted title searches of over 1500 titles, defended products liability cases, prosecuted and defended zoning cases, insurance subrogation cases, has prosecuted and defended cases involving titles to real estate, pursued interests in estates, life insurance policies and annuities, handled probate and administration matters and prepared numerous Wills, trusts and estate plans
